Welcome to PROTRANS BC

PROTRANS BC is the private operator of the Canada Line, a 19 km automated rail-based rapid transit system connecting Downtown Vancouver with central Richmond and the Vancouver International Airport.

We operate and maintain the Canada Line system, which includes a fleet of 20 trains, 16 stations, 1 Operations and Maintenance center (OMC), guideway, tunnels and two bridges of the Fraser River. The Canada Line is expected to support up to 100, 000 passengers per day providing a reliable transit option with terminus-to-terminus service of 26 minutes or less.

PROTRANS BC is owned by SNC-Lavalin Inc., a leading international Canadian company involved in the design, construction and operation of major infrastructure facilities.
